The farming industry has changed considerably over the last 20 years and the National Farm Research Unit looks at how it has changed and developed during this time: the number of farms, types and sizes of enterprises, adoption of new technology and new techniques, ownership and management as well as many farming practices.
The data collected is thorough and wide-ranging and enables us to build a detailed picture of what is happening in the farming community.
We believe that information on farming issues and trends that we collect should be fed back to farmers. We send out regular newsletters to update them on issues affecting them and other farmers in their region. We publish some of this information on our website. If you would like to receive our regular newsletters please click here.
